Meet Tanya Tourangeau
Welcome
to Tanya T Consulting.
When you step into this space, you are entering a place of respect, possibility, and collaboration. It is where leaders, communities, and organizations come together to create the future we all deserve.
I am Eagle Feather Woman, a Dene strategist and founder of Tanya T Consulting. My work is guided by Dene Laws, strengthened by Western tools, and grounded in the balance of the Medicine Wheel.
I believe that Reconciliation is powerful. It grows trust, strengthens economies, and builds lasting capacity for Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples alike.
Why Reconciliation Matters for Business
Reconciliation is a measurable investment that drives performance. When organizations commit, they see results that matter:
Key Business KPIs
- Employee engagement and retention
- Innovation and market growth
- Reputation, ESG scores, and shareholder value
Key Indigenous KPIs
- Employment and inclusion
- Partnerships and procurement with Indigenous businesses
- Cultural safety and trust within workplaces and communities
When these measures align, prosperity follows. Businesses gain talent, innovation, and stronger reputations. Indigenous Peoples gain employment, wealth creation, cultural safety, and long-term trust.

How I Work
My approach braids three streams to shape every engagement:
1. Dene Laws – Teachings of sharing, respect, hard work, love, and continuous learning keep the work relational and grounded.
2. Western Tools – Governance, business strategy, evaluation, and policy frameworks provide structure and measurability.
3. Living Balance – Guided by the Medicine Wheel, I bring body, mind, emotion, and Spirit into harmony so outcomes are whole and sustainable.
Every Circle I facilitate, every keynote I deliver, and every strategy I design builds relationships that endure. Relationships are the foundation. To shape a relationship is to build trust, reciprocity, and accountability.
Alignment with Global Standards
Reconciliation strengthens not only communities but also ESG scores and SDG benchmarks that drive global reputation and investor confidence.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
· Environmental stewardship rooted in Indigenous worldviews
· Social inclusion that builds equity and belonging
· Governance structures that combine Indigenous laws with Western accountability
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
· SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through Indigenous employment and entrepreneurship
· SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities through meaningful partnerships
· SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by building alliances across Nations, governments, and organizations
This alignment creates resilient supply chains, stronger markets, and a workforce prepared for the future.
Win - Win
Reconciliation is a win-win. It creates prosperity that is shared, sustainable, and measurable.
My vision is clear and enduring.
Through Reconciliation and collaboration, Indigenous Peoples in Canada thrive together.
Businesses that embrace this today will not only stay relevant but also stay competitive. Those who lead with Reconciliation now will be the ones shaping tomorrow.

“I learned so much from having Tanya on the CEDI Team. She brought a rich combination of wisdom, insight, skills, and experience that was not only highly appreciated by me, but also by the First Nation and municipal staff and elected officials across the country that she successfully supported to build relationships and do joint community economic development planning.”
